We organised a private evening safari at short notice and it was brilliant! The company recommended that we go to Hurulu instead of Minneriya as there was a better chance of seeing elephants. Such a good decision. We were picked up from our hotel and were one of the first jeeps to enter the park at opening time. We came across our first group of elephants within the first 10 minutes or so then saw another group then another then another...we lost count after 70+ of these fabulous creatures. Thank you to our great guide!

Great afternoon to spot the elephants at the lake site. We saw many many elephants (together with many others 😉) and got the chance to watch them so close, see how they behave and take beautiful pictures. Our guide positioned the car very safe when they came too close. We had a lively experience.

We did a safari to Minneriya because they recommended that it was the best for that time of the year. Our driver was very nice! and the jeep was very comfortable, with the roof that you can open to be standing and make good photos, or you can close it if it rains. We saw a loooooot of elephants! They are amazing!

We had a wonderful experience with the afternoon elephant safari in Kaudulla National Park. The provider was very friendly and knowledgeable, and suggested that we switch from Minneriya to Kaudulla because there were more elephants to see. We’re glad we followed his advice, because we saw more than 50 elephants in their natural habitat! The guide was super accommodating and let us decide how long we wanted to stay or move on. He also shared interesting facts and stories about the elephants and the park. It was a memorable and enjoyable adventure that we highly recommend to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.
